Progressive Brethren Summit
November 7-9, 2008
Northview Church of the Brethren,
Indianapolis, IN
Ready for a fresh breath of worship, theological reflection, Biblical interpretation, and life? Tired of feeling like the church is moving backward and you want to move forward? Then this weekend is for you!
Join us in November for the first ever summit weekend of progressive worship, learning, sharing, and celebration. The weekend will feature thought-provoking plenary sessions, dynamic workshops, inclusive worship, music, fellowship, and (of course!) good food. All meals are provided; there are several housing options. You'll not want to miss this first-of-its-kind event!
Here are links for learning more . . . and registering on-line!
Who is a “Progressive Brethren?”
If you think you might be one, you probably are! Progressives are people who recognize God’s spirit at work in the church and are open to the new directions that Spirit may be leading us. Progressives embrace diversity in the church, want genuine hospitality for all people, and respect those who hold differing opinions.
